Leo's The Red Lion..has bee involved with the music scene since 1976..I first performed there on 22nd May 77....I first put bands on in 1978...the late 70's & early 80's were busy times...the 'Punk' scene was massive & the then NWOBHM was a phenomenon...bands like 'The UK Subs' 'Samson' 'Ang read moreLeo's The Red Lion..has bee involved with the music scene since 1976..I first performed there on 22nd May 77....I first put bands on in 1978...the late 70's & early 80's were busy times...the 'Punk' scene was massive & the then NWOBHM was a phenomenon...bands like 'The UK Subs' 'Samson' 'Angelwitch''Iron maiden' '999''Tygers of Pan Tang' & of course 'Praying Mantis'..to name but a few were prominent in OUR local venues inc. The Red Lion..the lagacy is like no other.. with the great help of some likeminded friends/family & promotors we've managed to keep this GREAT (little) Venue going...the TRUE friends of The Lion are priceless...I hope we never stop, Many thanks to all of you, & hope to see you soon.....Terry Lee
